Diamond History
As far back as recorded history is preserved, the loose diamond was credited with many amazing virtues from providing the power to avert insanity and rendering poison harmless to the Middle Ages where it was known as a peacemaker between husband and wife.
Diamonds were believed to provide protection from plague or pestilence and the proof was in the fact that the poorer classes were always attacked by plagues first, while the rich adorned with diamonds were spared.
